The Flood Warning Continues For The Following Rivers In Illinois

Illinois River At La Salle Affecting Bureau... La Salle And Putnam Counties The Following Forecasts Are Based On Observed Precipitation As Well As Forecast Precipitation 24-48 Hours Into The Future. The Flood Warning Continues For The Illinois River At La Salle, Or From Starved Rock Lock And Dam Downstream To Confluence With Big Bureau Creek.

* Until Late Tuesday Night.

* At 745 PM Sunday The Stage Was 20.6 Feet.

* Flood Stage Is 20.0 Feet.

* Minor Flooding Is Occurring And Minor Flooding Is Forecast.

* Forecast... The River Will Continue To Rise Near 20.8 Feet By Monday Afternoon. The River Will Fall Below Flood Stage By Tuesday Evening.

* Impact... At 20.0 Feet... Agricultural Areas In La Salle, Spring Valley, And Peru Lowlands Are Flooded. &&

Safety Message... If You Encounter A Flooded Roadway... Turn Around And Find An Alternate Route.

Flood Warning was issued on June 16 at 8:42PM CDT until June 19 at 1:00AM CDT by the National Weather Service in Chicago.
